Meet the green side of Zemun! Visit unspoiled areas, minimize negative environmental impact by walking and explore this city actively!
Welcome to Zemun, the romantic part of Belgrade and the former border town between Austro-Hungaria and the Ottoman Empire!
Visit Zemun Park, a calm and peaceful spot in the heart of the city. Hear about the история of Belgrade and Zemun and find out the former purpose of this green area. Enjoy the rare, state-protected trees, almost 200 years old churches, and monumental building of Zemun high school. We continue our walk to the main pedestrian zone – Улица Господская, with many coffee shops and bars, and then go to Magistarski Square, talking about the unusual mentality of the residents here. You will feel the charm of Serbian green market and enjoy various colors and beautiful scents. After that, in front of your eyes will be the breathtaking scenery of the Danube, its coast and many shades of blue color. Stroll down the most visited waterfront in Belgrade and if you want, feed the stunning swans! You will have an opportunity to enjoy a breeze in the hair during a boat ride to the Big War Island! It is a protected natural area and bird habitat, with a sandy beach perfect for summer fun! After returning to the coast, refreshments wait for us at one of the famous rafts on the river. Finally, you have the opportunity to relax and enjoy stand up paddleboarding (SUP)!
Drinks, river, fresh air and good company – can you imagine anything better?
IMPORTANT NOTICE: If you want to try stand up paddleboarding (SUP), it is NECESSARY TO SWIM WELL AND TO BE IN GOOD PHYSICAL CONDITION! You are responsible for your safety, not Alternative Serbia and its team!
If you do not feel comfortable trying stand-up paddleboarding, you can always enjoy sunny weather, river vibes and refreshing drink at the beautiful cafe on the Danube while the guide tells you insider stories about this part of Belgrade.
