Novi Sad
Surrounded by fertile arable pastures, the Fruška Gora mountain, and the Danube River, the charming city of Vojvodina region is a true gem among Serbian cities. Because of its cultural importance, it is also called „Serbian Athens“ and is home to one of the largest music festivals – EXIT, which gained a global reputation for its diversity and superb music. On this tour, we will visit the main attractions in the city center and the Petrovaradin Fortress, while listening about its intriguing history.
Sremski Karlovci
Sremski Karlovci is a charming wine city where you will taste “Bermet” – an authentic Serbian wine made with many herbs. In the time of the Austrian Hungarian Empire, the Viennese Court exempted the wine growers of Karlovci from mandatory military service so they could keep on producing wine! On this tour, we will visit the town of Sremski Karlovci, taste the local wine and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant.
ITINERARY:
Departure from Belgrade at 9 am. Arrival to Novi Sad, city center walking tour. Departure to Petrovaradin Fortress and sightseeing, a break for coffee/tea, and the panoramic views of Novi Sad and the Danube River. Departure to Sremski Karlovci, a charming little baroque town, and wine destination, wine tasting with platter in a local winery. Departure to Belgrade and arrival at around 5 pm.
