Drina River House: Visit the famous house perched on a rock above the Drina River. This iconic landmark has defied the river for decades and became world-famous after being photographed by National Geographic. Capture the perfect photo and hear the incredible story of its construction and resilience.

Sargan eight train ride: Hop aboard the legendary Šarganska Osmica (Sargan Eight), a historic narrow-gauge railway connecting Belgrade and Sarajevo. Enjoy a scenic 2.5-hour ride through Mokra Gora Nature Park, with breaks at viewpoints and a longer stop for coffee and refreshments. This route inspired the famous Serbian movie Life is a Miracle by Emir Kusturica.

ITINERARY:

08 – 11:30 am Transfer from Belgrade to the Drina River valley, with a photo stop at the Drina River House

12:15 – 1 pm Transfer to Mokra Gora village

1:30 – 4 pm: Sargan 8 train ride with breaks at viewpoints and one longer stop for coffee and refreshments

4 – 6 pm: Visit Mećavnik wooden town with lunch break

6 – 9 pm: Transfer back to Belgrade

Note: Lunch at Mecavnik is later in the afternoon, so bringing some snacks is recommended.
